We are proud to announce that Michelle Fisher has completed her first Tri after a tricky first few moment in the water, but she managed to get through that and complete the Tri in good form.
“Tri completed, tricky start for the swim, I always struggle with anxiety when first getting in, tow floats were not allowed, which didn’t help as hadn’t prepped myself for that, even though I haven’t used it. Then I swallowed some water and air twice and couldn’t breathe, I thought I wouldn’t be able to continue, but the angel of the kayak guy let me hold onto the kayak until I got breathing and head in gear. I came out last from the swim? I went in last but one to keep away from the fast competitive people. Was good to be on my bike even with jelly legs, overtook a couple of people so made up a bit of time. Then for the run, thought it would be really hard work but was ok and even overtook some people.
