Sarah recently completed a charity walk for the Royal Marsden Hospital, here she explains her passion for this charity.

“I’m a regular supporter of The Royal Marsden hospital, a world-leading cancer centre.  Like far too many, my life has been impacted by this terrible disease.  I have lost family and friends, while others are still fighting.  The Royal Marsden is leading the way in research, treatment, and patient care.

In May I took part in The Marsden March, a 15-mile fundraising walk between the hospital’s sites at Chealsea and Sutton, in memory of Gerry Vella. I met Gerry on a Marsden fundraising trip to Peru in 2022. He worked for the hospital for over 30 years and was a dedicated and passionate fundraiser for them. Shortly after returning from Peru, Gerry was diagnosed with cancer and became a patient at the Marsden. Unfortunately, his treatment was unsuccessful, and he died in May 2023.  I met up with his family and friends for the walk and joined the orange army of 10,000 Marsden supporters marching our way from Chelsea to Sutton. As a team we raised £3,301, clocking up a whopping 30,340 steps along the route.”

We are delighted to announce that we have have passed our RISQS audit again with no non conformities.
