A professional railway signalling engineer with over 38 years experience (and 7 years at Senior Level with Kilborn Consulting), having effective project management, project engineering and communcation skills.
After a 20 year stint in the operational and maintenance realms of signalling experience Mark diverted into the specialism of Technical Competency Management and has mostly recently been managing these processes on Kilborn’s behalf for some of the major suppliers of contingent S&T labour to the UK railway market ,as well as Eurostar, and he is charged with day to day management of their processes, creating assessment programmes and carrying out Workplace and Competence Assessments of staff, as programmed, for IRSE Licensing and Equipment Specific/ Authority To Work purposes.
Having been exposed to site conditions during the early part of his career and latterly with the Competency Management requirements, Mark has utilised his vast experience and knowledge to conduct and manage many of the Correlation and Condition Surveys as required by Kilborn’s commissions and he has a very good knowledge of the railway infrastructure of England.
Mark is also an experienced Quality Auditor and carry’s out Kilborn’s internal audits prior to their annual Achilles/ RISQS Audit.
