Background & Scope

TransPennine Express (TPE), part of First Group, were awarded a 7-year franchise in 2016 to operate services across the north of England, including routes from Manchester to Edinburgh and Glasgow. As part of their franchise obligations, TPE are introducing new rolling stock, as well as upgrading their existing fleet. To facilitate this, TPE are carrying out a number of depot upgrade across their network, as well as introducing new depot operations in a number of locations, of which Scarborough is one.

For GRIP 5 – 8:

·         SSP update;

·         Location case circuitry design;

·         Signalling Design Specification;

·         Signal Sighting;

·         Telecoms Detailed Design;

·         IDC/IDR and multi discipline design coordination and integration.

·         Records return
